Have you ever heard something that sounds backwards or inside out?

Well I have one of those statements for you …

I live the most carefree life through routine.

It seems crazy I know, but it’s the remedy for stress and the recipe for success.

Allow me tell you what I’m talking about and see if you can’t become more productive by doing less!

As a writer, it’s simple routine that brings success. My little ritual brings huge results.

You and I are physical, mental, spiritual and emotional beings, yea? What if you could charge all that up upon wakening each morning? Fully pumped and rearing to go with barely any effort aft all! Yea? Are you in?

Here’s my tip – see if its time in your life to live larger and experience more fun and productivity.

My days begin with charging my spiritual energy through #prayer and #meditation on the word.

I move my physical body through #exercise.

Hugging my man then charges up the wam and fuzzies.

Fueling my #brain with a good breakfast sees me ready for anything.

Now I’m free to spend hours doing what i love – WORKING! I love my work – creating, #writing – bringing thoughts to the page.

Because at the end of production time it’s all play! #laughter, #fun, #exploring, #traveloz #adventure #coastdays #aussiebush #helpingothers #randomactsofkindness #sowing #sharing

It is the winning formula. Tap into ALL of you early! Get up and get going. Charge yourself up spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally – you will thoroughly enjoy the difference.

Before you go, there’s always one who finds a glitch and decides the formula won’t work for them, isn’t there? It’s the ‘that might work for you but you don’t know my life’ stuff we hear all too often.

This formula wasn’t invented by me – now there’s a surprise … NOT. It’s a formula used by many successful people that I put to the test and discovered its success for myself .

If you like where you’re at. Stay there. If you would prefer more energy and play time and successful productivity, then give it a go.

It’s your life. Why not be the best you?

Use the winning formula. You matter! You deserve a great life.

You were born to shine!!!

You’ve been loved – on by

Chrissy πŸ’œπŸ’›

Now get on out there and strutt you stuff, you amazing, incredible YOU!! #fallingupstairs #roomtobreathe

Some of us live in fear – in fear of the future, in fear of the unknown, in fear of our fears!

Mist is so romantically mysterious. The world around me and Step right now has completely gone. Glistening white icicles form on our eyebrows. We make up stories in anticipation of what could lie ahead.

But none of us ever really knows what lies ahead, do we?
And YET, some of us find that tinglingly invigorating.

Instead of fear, I feel excitement. Instead of worry forcing me to turn around and go back, I press on – kind of thrilled and nervous at the same time.

My secret? How do I do that? (because you know I haven’t always done that, don’t you?) This is a new chapter of my life – and its too bloody good to walk it alone.

It’s exciting when we realise we’re in the hands of the one who knows all and is already there beckoning us forward. Yep, faith had smashed my fears.

Faith has set me free, broken the shackles I had myself chained with (yes, I chained me. Nobody else did).

And then faith reveals fear as nothing but a vapour.
A mist.
A fog.
And, as the light breaks through, it is disipated, dispersed, dispelled.

And the more the sun (Son) shines on it, the quicker it is completely gone.

And I am free.

If you need to know more about conquering fear, contact me at and let’s win together. Because nobody should live trapped, when they’re born to be free.

Because your life is worth living and ain’t nobody else who can live it for you.

Because you are awesome and deserve the best. You have been promised an A+ – don’t settle for a B-.

Let’s smash this thing! 🌞 Together we win! 🌞

No matter how small, it searches out more – hungry, determined to continue, stretching itself to fulfil is desires.

Eventually fueling itself into a passionate frenzy.

We loathe its damaging effects in the scorching heat of summer but admire its warming power in winter.

Fire inspires me in its relentless energy to continue.

I’ve seen how that relentless energy can wreak havoc, cause damage and wipe out everything in its wake during Aussie summers of hot winds, dry ground and heat unbreathable.

I’ve also experienced the healing power of fire. Thawing frozen toes on frosty mornings, boiling a billy full of chai tea, cooking dinners, warming a room, toasting marshmallows, bringing energy, combating the cold winter blues.

Fire just keeps burning. It won’t stop. Even doused, it searches other avenues, boiling sometimes unseen at the surface, glowing orange as it anticipates fuel to spark it back into powerful action.

Fire is a bit like our own passions, really.

We can fuel our passion into anger, jelousy, rage. Destroying others with our tongues of fire. Wreaking havoc on family or creating enemies as we spit and charge ahead relentlessly without care for others.

But I’ve seen passions fanned into flame as friends are gathered, people encouraged, healing offered and unconditional love poured out like perfume.

Like a fire, we can fan our passionate flames to bring death or life, to be loathed or loved.

We can bring warmth and healing – or we can destroy.
We can provide a place of comfort – or bring disaster.

Are you a Summer fire of destruction or a Winter fire of provision?

Where are you fanning your feelings? What are your passions moving you toward?
God calls our heart the source from which passions spring. What’s burning in your heart?

Be careful your fire doesn’t possess you. Be wary of it burning out of control through hatred, aversion, fear or envy.

There are many passion-fires burning – you choose what you fuel.

Fuel love. Fan it by the attraction of goodness, kindness, gratefulness. This fire is rewarded by mutual pleasure and joy and goodness. It helps fan others’ fires – helping, healing, growing and glowing in energy.

As you fan your flame today, direct it toward your desired outcome, be sure to be fueling the right flames. Extinguish your anger as you fuel your peace. Quench your rage as you fuel your love.

Burn brightly. Shine your light.

Fan into flame the gift of God which is in you.
2 Timothy 1:6

Shine on Crazy Diamond.

Mirror mirror you don’t capture me at all

OK girls, this one’s for you.
I just got out of the shower and bent down to put my clothes on. There’s a full-length mirror in front of me – something I’m not used to because I live in a van and our only mirror is about the size of my face.

I saw my mummy-tummy and boobies that never used to look like that. I saw love-handles and saggy skin that once was taunt and terrific. At first I was shocked some old lady was sharing the bathroom with me. And then real shock set in when I realised this reflected image was my body! Mine! How, and when did this happen?!

And it got me thinking what a positive body image I have, because I don’t dwell on that mirrored body image. My mind thinks young so it tells me I am young and I feel young. This thinking fuels vitality and energy. The mirror doesn’t determine how I feel or think about myself because I refuse to give it that power. Are you hearing me girls?

I got a shock at that mirror body image at first. But I gave that old lady the thumbs-up and a cheeky wink. I dressed myself in my colorful, fun clothes. I stood up straight, sucked in my mummy-tummy, pushed up my tiny boobies, put my chins up and smiled at that reflected body image.

Our minds are powerful. What we think, we can become. I could allow the recorded naked old-lady image to replay all day and cause me grief, but that isn’t who I am. The real me is so much more than a body image. I am uniquely made, glorious and delightful. I’m a collection of happy vibes and groovy images and wild abandon and a heart full of love.

I would be embarrassed to look at someone else and judge them based on their skin tone, wrinkles, hair colour or body shape – how foolish would I be to judge myself on a mirrored naked body image?

Come on girls. We choose to see the good in others, let’s do it for ourselves. Nurture your nature . You are beautiful. Wonderfully unique. Born to shine. Created to glow from the inside out. Your light comes from within. Walk away from the mirror and get out there strutting your glorious style.

The world has a need for each one of us! Our smiles bring joy to others. We celebrate ourselves in all our splendour. We know peace through prayer and we know love through a God who loves us completely.

I am imperfectly, perfectly me.

We were created on purpose, for a purpose. Who you are is deeper, more beautiful, more miraculous than any mirrored body image could ever display. You are SENSATIONAL!

Let the love, joy and happy vibes flow

How many times have you tried to change?
And, like many of us, have you found it short-lived?

But you know you want to make changes.

Great, do! Do it for you!

But make sure they’re good ones.

The art of appreciation can transform not only our THINKING, but our WORK, our MARRIAGE and FRIENDSHIPS and, well, let’s face it, it can’t help but result in a transformed LIFE!

It may not take a geographical change or a relationship break down to see you falling into the life you dream of.

It may come from a shift within your thinking, more than shifting house. It may come from beginning to nurture yourself rather than running away.

I looked for happiness in so many places – drugs, alcohol, wrong relationships. I found fleeting happiness that had very short use-by dates and none of it fueled my soul or built lasting joy into my heart.

Then one day everything changed. EVERYTHING.
I swallowed my pride and reached out.

In so doing, I POSITIONED myself for a change from within. One I couldn’t conjure up in my own strength. Thank God, I didn’t need to!

He provides all the resources, strength, guidance, nurturing and wisdom. And he provides the rocket-fuel to make my dreams come alive and HAPPEN!

So, no, you are NOT stuck where you are.
Ditch that defeatist attitude and allow the attitude of gratitude to place you places you never could have dreamed of.

Its as easy as one, two, three.

1 trust God
2 allow him to fragrance your life with the perfume of gratefulness
3 commit to living life fully

You’re a grateful-heart-moment away from …. (insert your loves here)

Want lasting joy?

Tired of life pushing you around? Sick of panic attacks or feeling depressed over the past or anxious about your future?

Are you tossed about by fleeting feelings? Feeling happy. Feeling sad. Feeling playful. Feeling scared. Feeling crazy. Feeling worried. Feeling alive. Feeling flat. Feeling tingly.

You want to feel good. And you want it to last – but how do you get to this?

There’s two tips I offer today.

1. Living one-day-at-a-time
2. JOY

Let’s explore them:-

1. As limited human beings we only have the capacity to live one day at a time. We are not omnipresent – we can’t be everywhere. We can only be in the here-and-now. That’s our limitation AND our blessing!

β€œStop being worried or anxious or perpetually uneasy and distracted about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear.
Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow seed nor gather, and yet your Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?

Who of you by worrying can add one hour to the length of your life?

And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labour nor do they spin wool to make clothing, yet not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these.
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is cut, will He not much more clothe you?

Therefore do not worry or be anxious.
Do not worry for your Father knows what you need.

Instead. Seek righteousness [God’s way of being rightβ€”the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.

Do do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

That’s from the Bible – a great place to learn how to live free of worry.

Take one day at a time. Take one moment at a time. Live in the present. Savour it.

Sounds simple (because it is) – smell a flower; watch a bug on the ground or a bee or butterfly; taste your food – one mouthful at a time; hug a friend; laugh at something.

These simple things are life-savers. They still your mind and keep you in the present.

2. JOY is something planted deep within. Not circumstantial to what happens TO us. It’s a fruit planted and growing within everyone as a consequence of their love for God. It can’t be uprooted. It is part of our dna.

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
That’s the Bible again.

Unlike happiness, which comes and goes, joy is deep and lasting. It isn’t flimsy and easily lost. It’s actually a supernatural gift. Powerful against wrong-thinking.

When our mind sets off on some loopy journey of it’s own, we who have the power of God within us, also therefore, have the power and the authority and the supernatural strength to reign it in. To pull it back into line with the joy within us.

Have you received that joy and are you using it?

"God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but He has given us a spirit of power and of love and of sound judgment and a SOUND MIND and personal discipline – abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control."
That’s the Bible again.

It is crucial we KNOW WHO WE ARE.
We are not weaklings tossed about by life. You are a powerful, incredible, amazing work of art designed to live joyfully one-day-at-a-time.

You’re not a victim. That mindset was broken. You who have responded to God’s love are a new creation.

"This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new creation. The old has gone. The new has come!"
That’s the Truth again, God’s promise.

That’s who you are. Let’s live it!

In the Palm of His Hand

I take great comfort in knowing I’m in good hands through the trials and stresses of life.

My grandkids watch a program called ‘Grandpa in My Pocket’ (a young boy’s grandpa who can put on his magical shrinking cap and the lad can pop him in his shirt pocket.)
Before getting to the shirt pocket, the lad lays his hand out flat for grandpa to jump on.

I see myself like that at times. I have this Huge and Powerful God who has me in the palm of His hand.
Me being so small in comparison to Him makes me feel so safe. Everything is alright when I’m in His hands.

And it feels like God often picks me up and pops me in His pocket where i am safe. That pocket is right there near His heart, where i can relax and find comfort sometimes right in the middle of a drama.

*Psalm 139.9,10 If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, & Your right hand will take hold of me.

The Bible talks about a storm out to sea in *Mark 4.35-41.
*^*Late that day Jesus said to them, β€œLet’s go across to the other side.” They took him in the boat as He was. A huge storm came up. Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it. & Jesus was in the stern, head on a pillow, sleeping! They roused him, – β€œTeacher, is it nothing to you that we’re going down?” Awake now, he told the wind to pipe down & said to the sea, β€œQuiet! Settle down!” The wind ran out of breath; the sea became smooth as glass.

Sometimes it can feel like we’re on a boat in the middle of a storm, can’t it! We can panic and freak out like the disciples – focused on the storm – wondering ‘what are you doing God?!’ ‘Where are you?!’

We get mad at Him for not preventing the storm – the mess, the argument, the sickness. Whatever.

We REACT like this when we feel helpless.
We feel helpless when we forget that our Great Big Huge God has us in the palm of His hand.

There’s times when we can be just like the disciples, desperate for Jesus to calm the storm – ‘Come on God, just take this drama away!’

But jumping up and down freaking out rarely solves anything. Jesus offers what we need, we need peace. Real peace. Just stop and take a minute. Review the situation calmly.

Remember that Jesus is actually IN the boat. He’s in MY boat. He hasn’t gone anywhere. He’s right here. Always. He has promised in *Hebrews 13.5 and *Deuteronomy 31.6 that he will never leave me or abandon me.

It’s His plan. He’s the One steering this thing. I’ve given my life to Him and allowed Him to be Lord. If He isn’t Lord of all, then He isn’t Lord AT all.

Unlike me, He’s not caught by surprise with the storms of my life. That’s probably why He can rest through them. I wonder if I should be resting through them too. Allowing myself to chillax.

Note it was His idea to cross those waters. He knew about the storm and still took them through it. Maybe that’s where their faith’d grow best? Not by dodging it or avoiding it but by trusting Him IN it.

He knows everything. And He is always there – bringing his supernatural peace to us. Relieving stress and worry as we remember He has us in the palm of His hand.

That’s the hand that calms the sea. He calms us right in the middle of it – not at the end when its all over. He’s right here. Holding us. We can rest in His bigness. He’s got this.

No storm takes him by surprise and there’s no storm he can’t bring peace to. No storm he can’t comfort me through.

Instead of being anxious or feeling overwhelmed, I can just curl up and rest with Him. Can you? He’s reaching out His hand, all you have to do is hop on.

I’m in good hands. He’s got me in the palm of His hand and popped me in His pocket. The safest place in life … comforted by the steady heartbeat of God.

I am housesitting. Right now I am seated on a garden bench in the centre of unfurling flowers. It is peaceful and beautiful.
It’s also busy – bees and delicate tiny birds go about their business pollinating.

The garden would not be here without someone having a vision to design it. It also wouldn’t be here if the designer stopped there – With just a plan. Seeds needed to be planted for these flowers to grow, unfurl and blossom.

Have you a dream? Is there something you’re aspiring to?

I often get asked how to publish a book. The first thing to do is to write one. Might sound a strange answer but so many expect things to be fast or easy.

Watch any process in nature – even ourselves. We had to crawl before we walked. And, other than my eldest son, most of us had to walk before we ran.

Writing, for me, is a daily discipline. The secret is to be so passionate about writing that my words can’t help but turn into a book.
Like a mathematical equation, discipline and passion combine to equal success.

What do you want to achieve? Have you applied this winning formula? What if the only thing standing in the way of your success is you?

Have a goal, write a plan, then begin … Now keep going.

One word at a time and a book is written.

One step at a time and a mountain is climbed.

Someone had to plant the seeds for the beautiful garden to blossom.
